Former Fiorentina striker Luca Toni has weighed in on the speculation surrounding Fabio Paratici’s future at the club. Speaking on the AuraSport podcast, Toni offered his candid views on the current situation, touching on both Paratici’s work and the role of ex-Italy defender Fabio Grosso.
Regarding Grosso’s potential involvement with Fiorentina, Toni said, “Fabio and I only got in touch to organize a paddle match; we didn’t discuss football. Of course, he has an excellent relationship with Paratici from their time together at Juventus.”
Toni then turned his attention to Paratici, who has been instrumental in revitalizing Fiorentina since his arrival. “Paratici chose Fiorentina and threw himself into the project, breathing new life into a club that had seemed dormant. That’s why the idea of him leaving after just three months—regardless of who might be calling him—wouldn’t be fair to the fans. He should try to build something meaningful here, because Fiorentina deserves it. Walking away now would be seen as a great lack of respect.”
