This impressive turnout solidifies the race as a true benchmark for mass-participation athletics in Europe, transforming the streets of the Catalan capital into a vibrant sports festival from early morning.
Pol Espinosa and Sandra Sancho dominated the competitive side of the race, delivering a high-level spectacle on a fast circuit that kept its start on Diagonal and the finish line at Plaça Catalunya. Pol Espinosa emerged as the top male winner, completing the 10-kilometer course in an outstanding 29’44”. In the women’s category, Sandra Sancho displayed excellent form, taking the victory with a time of 35’33”. Both athletes capitalized on a fully urban route designed for speed as well as the enjoyment of recreational runners.
Beyond personal bests, the true triumph of this edition was its charitable spirit. The race enjoyed massive support from participants backing the Cruyff Foundation, whose president, Susila Cruyff, was present throughout the day. Proceeds from the sale of Under Armour solidarity T-shirts will go entirely to the foundation’s projects, which use sport as a catalyst for change and learning among children and young people with special needs.
