A reporter in Qingdao has been removed from a media group by the club’s general manager after posting a video highlighting a controversial refereeing decision during the Qingdao derby.
Xu Nuo, a journalist with the Qingdao Daily, shared a video on social media showing what he believed to be a missed penalty for Qingdao Hainiu during the match. The clip was accompanied by the caption, “I’m a total joke.”
Just one hour after posting, Xu was reportedly kicked out of the group by Xu Shang, the general manager of Qingdao West Coast, the opposing team in the derby.
