Flamengo’s Deliberative Council has approved the three uniforms the club will wear during the 2027 season. The third kit will pay tribute to Jorge Ben Jor, a legendary fan of the club, and the Tropicália movement, a cultural wave that emerged in Brazil in the 1960s.
The third uniform will be predominantly black with pink, blue, and yellow accents. The design reflects both the singer and the artistic movement. The main kit for 2027 will feature thinner stripes and red sleeves, reminiscent of the 2018 uniform. The second kit will be white with gray, red, and black details, honoring the Taça Salutaris, a trophy Flamengo won in 1927 that selected the most “sympathetic” club in Brazil. This uniform will also include retro-styled club crest and Adidas logo.
During Monday’s meeting, the Jorge Ben Jor-inspired kit received 72% of votes, while the primary and secondary kits were approved with around 90% approval. The information was first reported by ESPN and confirmed by Lance!.
