Kuwaki finished in fourth place for the second consecutive week. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I feel so blessed that my fan base is growing every day. I had a lot of fun competing for the win in this season’s first major, set on a very tough course. I’m always amazed by how perfect Ibaraki Golf Club is every year. It was a joy to play on such a beautiful course surrounded by so many spectators!”
However, she entered the final round tied for second with eventual winner Yui Kawamoto, but slipped to fourth after recording two birdies and four bogeys for a 74. She wrote with determination: “Right now, I’m so regretful and disappointed that I feel like trembling. But I want to analyze what I did well and what I didn’t, and use it for the future. Oh, I want to win!!! I’ll keep working hard.”
